कानपुर। विश्व प्रसिद्व क्रिकेट स्टेडियम ग्रीन पार्क के दिन बहुरेंगे वाले हैं। खेल और खिलाड़ियों के विकास के लिये प्रयत्नशील उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने ग्रीन पार्क स्टेडियम के जीर्वोद्वार के लिये 350 करोड़ की योजना पर मुहर लगा दी है। इसमें से 48 करोड़ रुपये की राशि अवमुक्त भी जा चुकी है। 14 अगस्त से आठ सितंबर तक होने वाले यूपी टी-20 क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट के बाद ग्रीन पार्क के जीर्वोद्वार का काम प्रारंभ हो जायेगा। ग्रीन पार्क स्टेडियम के जीर्वाेद्वार के लिये मंडिलायुक्त के. विजयेंद्र पांडियन ने स्क्रीनिंग कमेटी का गठन किया है। इस कमेटी में शामिल मुख्य विकास अधिकारी अभिनव जे. जैन, ग्रीन पार्क के क्षेत्रीय क्रीडा अधिकारी करमवीर, कानपुर विकास प्राधिकरण व लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिकारियों ने पिछले दिनों का ग्रीन पार्क का निरीक्षण भी किया था। कमेटी जल्द ही अपनी रिपोर्ट डिवीजनल कमिश्नर श्री पांडियन को प्रेषित करेगी। स्टेडियम में मुख्य रुप से ड्रिनेज सिस्टम, मीडिया सेंटर और दर्शक दीर्घाओं को डबल स्टोरी करके दर्शक क्षमता में इजाफा किया जायेगा। सूत्रों के अनुसार स्टेडियम परिसर में पंच सितारा होटल बनाये जाने का भी प्लान है। The days of green park will increase by three and a half billion

Kanpur. The days of the world famous cricket stadium Green Park are colorful. The Uttar Pradesh government, which is making efforts for the development of sports and players, has approved a plan of Rs 350 crore for the renovation of Green Park Stadium. Out of this, an amount of Rs 48 crore has already been released. The work of renovating the Green Park will start after the UP T-20 cricket tournament to be held from August 14 to September 8. Divisional Commissioner K. for Jeervedwar of Green Park Stadium. Vijayendra Pandian has constituted the screening committee. Chief Development Officer Abhinav J. is included in this committee. Jain, Green Park’s Regional Sports Officer Karamveer, Kanpur Development Authority and Public Works Department officials had also inspected the Green Park recently. The committee will soon send its report to Divisional Commissioner Mr. Pandian. The spectator capacity of the stadium will be increased mainly by making the drainage system, media center and spectator galleries double storeyed.
